CLERKENWELL DESIGN WEEK

Clerkenwell Design week is a three-day annual festival celebrating design’s creative richness, its social impact and its power for change.

Clerkenwell, the undisputed heart of design in London-itself acknowledged as design’s global metropolis – is perfect for a design festival, where more than 60 design showrooms and a horde of design and architectural practices can be found amongst elegant greens and squares, historic architecture, cool pop-up clubs and shops, famous restaurants and funky bars.

The festival programme of seminars, workshops and debates tackle key issues from a design standpoint. Big design names and inspirational thought leaders will spearhead an event crammed with left-field thinking, off the wall performances and presentations to challenge all your preconceptions.

As well as exclusive UK product launches from leading design brands, there’ll be everything you can expect at a festival: street entertainment, music, food, exhibitions and parties … It’s the ideal chance for creative’s to network with clients in a relaxed yet intensely stimulating atmosphere.

It will excite, inspire, educate, inform and entertain.

And yes, you have guessed; Silverline will be launching their London Showroom for Clerkenwell Design Week.

Tuesday 25th May: Office Electrics seminar at 1pm as part of the core CPD from RIBA.
Seminar Details: Slide presentation with handout.
Enables architects to specify power and cable management in office furniture.
Provides information on standards and regulations.
Illustrates methods for safe provision of cable management in office furniture.
Allows discussion on operational requirements.

Wednesday  26th May: Secured by Design seminar at 1pm as part of the core CPD from RIBA.
Seminar details: Secured by Design is a police initiative to reduce crime in the built environment. This CPD seminar provides an introduction to Secured by Design and its application to residential developments.

The role of the Crime
Prevention Design Advisor and when to contact them
Legislation and directives relating to crime prevention in the built environment and their implications for architects

Thursday 27th May: Interpon Powder Coatings CPD seminar at 1pm (Interpon AkzoNobel's CPD presentation has been assessed and approved by the RIBA.)
